Loosely based on Robert Frost’s “The Road Not Taken”, Solstice follows a group of young adults living in a small suburb in Upstate NY. As part of his senior thesis project for a contemporary drama class, James Foster is asked to write a revision of a work of art as to reimagine it from the perspective of his adult self. After he chooses “The Road Not Taken,” he travels down a path of self-reflection, forcing him and his peers to ask themselves again the true purpose of their coming together — the mistakes they’ve made, the paths they’ve forged, and the lives they have yet to live.
